Start the Countdown!

"Only a few days from now
We march on the stage and bow
We will soon harvest the fruit of knowledge
From our dearest teachers..
Our parents who shared their everlasting hearts;
Precious cups of golds wherein we sip and take
those righteous counsels and miracle caresses..."

April 4 will mark another step in our lives as students in ISNHS. Our Graduation Day!

...it is a day to look back and realize the sacrifices, love and concern of our parents in sending us to this prestigious institution.
...it is a day to look back and appreciate the patience, hard work and dedication of our teachers in molding us.
...it is a day to look back and reminisce those fond days with our classmates and friends doing assignments, projects, sharing jokes and making petty quarrels.

Who would ever wonder that we've finally made it? We're nearly approaching success... We're nearly reaching that star... Now, we will be facing a new horizon. We'll be turning another page in our book of life without forgetting all those memories.
For more than four years that we're together, we have made a special bond with each other - FRIENDSHIP. Despite differences amongst us, I know we tried to mingle with others and shared our own beliefs to everyone. We repent on our mistakes and ask our sincerest apologies. We always shared our our thoughts, stories, fantasies and even confessed everything which are confidential. Stuffs like this should be kept forever for it symbolizes our trust and love.
We encountered bizarre problems that, sometimes, we couldn't stand to solve and just stumble. We cried on our downfalls. However, without these, we have developed a strong personality. It caused a big transition on us.
It's really hard to be parted from all of you because of those moments we've shared, those experiences, those tears, and laughter. Aren't they enough to stop us from being separated from each other? [the graduation day will be truly dramatic.]
I wish, we will never forget each other.. Time will come that we'll be meeting again and I wish it would be a deja vu - everything will be repeated.

Perfect Finale for ICT IV

We're not virtuosos in making movies. It's new to us. Some have already tried doing it but they still lack something. Through this final activity we'll overcome this and have our own "obra maestras".

Making a movie: 'tis perplexing, confusing, needs patience, tiring (especially to the eyes), but 'tis fun. You should really have the guts in order to create a perfect movie. since it has different features from the other programs we used before, the Windows Movie Maker is just simple but extraordinary. And it's not that hard to use it because it'll also guide you through the tips and if you have common sense.

But whose the villain? Capturing or importing files is easy and arranging too. What bothers our mind is how to edit the movie. If we're careless, all other objects might be affected. Placing the timing of the lyrics was the most difficult one for you will test it over and over and over again. Resizing the fonts and coloring were also necessary so that it will be readable.

Despite all this hardships, we come out with a perfect output. 'tis perfect because we tried our utmost ability to finish the movie making activity.

It ends tonight

Friday the 13th of February.. the last Juniors -Seniors Promenade for Batch '08-'09.. an event which could last for a lifetime.. for 'tis a time to cherish every single moment with our friends and love ones.. and at the same time, 'tis done to develop camaraderie and socialization among students.. a thing considered by many as a fairy-tale-like-dream..

This kind of stuff just doesn’t exist but actually it really happened to me..

I expected that this Prom would be boring for i dont have a date [*joke*]. But I’m really glad that my first dance is my second cousin - Oliver. I thought he would never ask me but he did, I was nervous for all I thought was he would never do his promise. He actually saved my first dance for I was waiting for someone but then he's too slow - that Oliver came first. I chose him also as my lady's choice..

’twas unexpected also that boys would come and ask me to dance with them on every song - from different sections. One song = one dance, but then, time’s running out so I did dance with two in one song. One of the S2 aspirants, Jade Tabula, danced with me also.. I asked him if he’s really interested in that position and he is sure of it, so, I might help him.

Last dance:

I felt sad for I haven’t danced with whom I expected as my first dance. I waited for him but I failed and Oliver already came. Until the last 5 dances started and he came.. It was the best, longest and most memorable dance I ever had. I was a little bit dismayed that he wasn't my first dance but he's the one who told me before that last dance is more special than the first , so 'twas alright.

You deserve what I gave you and GRACIAS for your *presents* too. I felt comfort and safety being with you. More
than 15 minutes with you made my last Prom Night complete and wonderful.. and unforgettable..

Empty!

The first part of the second semester is already over…

Here comes the third periodical test…

We were given enough time to review. [But no, it’s not really enough.] Even if we had time, do we have complete notes? It’s good that they’ve lent me some. I missed a lot of lessons because of the Regional Science Quest and ‘twas already the examination days after this contest. [whoa! *o*] my mind is empty… very blank… All I did on the test was to guess the right answer. And it’s also good that I have my friends who assisted/guided me on the tests.

All the tests were not a piece of cake. But we all worked together, so we made it a no sweat test. However, our test in TLE was very hard – that we have to write a very long html file but ‘twas fun and exigent. Those tests which needs some calculations – that if you made a mistake, everything will be wrong. I was hapless, perplexed; I felt really blank. I couldn’t work well, because it seemed that my psyche was really empty!

Not quite tough to try these

[Featuring the Attributes]
Activity#8 was all about the font attributes. We edited the first activity by putting different features. We placed colors. We selected font styles for the html file and resized the fonts.

[Picture Perfect]
Capture what photo you want! Place something that you like or is best suited for the file. Make fun with it or take it seriously; and surely, you’ll finish the second to the last activity. This activity [#9] was all on placing images on the first activity.

[Hyper – bond?]
Activity#10 focused on hyperlinks – which is quite a confusing thing. It was far different from that linking technique that they’ve taught me before for 'twas html-html. I used to do some linking of a word file to a powerpoint file before and I took several minutes to do it for there were so many means to follow it and it's too long and hard. Unlike this activity which is very simple. We just used the tag . It's effortless actually but.. be careful not to make a mistake. It can be confusing.

All Because of Raiver

December 20 - January 4

...an ordinary Christmas vacation.

[The truth] My vacation officially started last December 1, 2008 for I haven't attended most of my classes because of school businesses - the Pinning of Ranks and the school paper works. The Busilak staffers rushed the paper for the regional evaluation and press conference this month. This is "the last chance" and a "challenge" for me to join in the RSPC - Editorial Writing (December 15-18); I have something to prove to myself:

"Do I really have the wit to write "serious" and "delicate" stuffs and deserve to be the E-I-C?

Yes. I have proven these. Although it's difficult to attain the zenith of success, I had made it on the top.

December 19: the real start of vacation because it's our Christmas party. We gave gifts to our close friends and exchanged hugs and kisses because we know we'll miss each other [*lol*]. Then.. I have spent the rest of the days with my relatives. 'twas when I met my very cute chinoy na pamangkin, Raiver Joriel. He was not that kind of kid who's kill joy and sensitive; he's very vigorous and playful. So, my Christmas vacation was not boring; and 'twas all because of him..

Time Dilemma

The clock is ticking too fast..

Time flies and moves rapidly..

But.. Can I go with this flow very swift?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The semestral break finally ended and the outset of the third grading has already started. As expected, we'll continue our topic on Hypertext Mark-up Language. Our hands-on activities, this time, were on colors and pictures.

ACTIVITY 6: This was all about putting background colors on an HTML file - it was a mind-blowing activity. I am always fond of blending colors so I knew that I would be too skeptic and delicate in choosing what color am I going to use. If it was only possible to use two or more colors as background or a gradient, I might do it. But I think it was nonviable so I just used pink instead of red, orange and yellow gradient colors.

ACTIVITY 7: I was not able to finish this activity - putting background picture on an HTML file. Like before, it was time again which is my problem. My classmates were almost done on this, but me, I have done nothing yet. I already have a plan on what picture I will use but it's only time which doesn't cooperate. If I'm free off official businesses, the computer room isn't available. But when it's free to use, I'm doing something somewhere around the school.

When will time give me an opportunity to finish all my requirements in ICT-IV? It's as if time's the villain in my studies, he doesn't allow me to do this html activities. But I'm sure that I'll find time to accomplish my works. I just have to go with the flight of time to easily cope up with this dilemma in ICT-IV.
